
Guatemalan rums are known to be quite round for several reasons; THE climate, the type of barrels used (often new American oak barrels), the material first (the Miele de Cana). This distillery located in western Guatemala produces thus rums for its own brand; “Botran” but also for bottlers and assemblers like COMPAGNIE DES INDES. The consensual side of the latter appeals to the greatest common denominator and also allows a nice introduction to the subject in the world of Hispanic-style rums. Tasting notes Nose: Silky and sweet with duck honey, aromas of white flowers (flower of elderberry) pear and a touch of pepper. Mouth: A smooth attack with vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of honey.
