The range of very limited editions Boulet de Canon developed by Compagnie des Indes aims to bring to the world of rum aromas close to certain whiskeys, particularly those of peated whiskeys. Thus, with each new edition, we work products differently. All even-numbered editions come from finished in peated whiskey barrels. Cannonball No. 14 is no exception to the rule having experienced a finish in this type of barrels for 6 months. Distilled in a stainless steel column, with a molasses base. This vintage was bottled in 2023, in France without cold filtration. Tasting notes Nose: Opulent and warm. With notes of cloves, black garlic, undergrowth and no surprise from Peat. Taste: Tense and balanced, with dark chocolate, licorice, green tobacco, nutmeg and a touch of Zan. Finish: Subtle and oily, with a persistence of a very pleasant roasted and smoky side. Country of origin: Panama and Nicaragua.
