Organic wild garlic pesto, without additives or preservatives. Pistou is a spread of Provençal origin, traditionally composed of basil, olive oil and garlic. Unlike Pesto, originally from Italy which contains parmesan and pine nuts in addition to the basic ingredients. Pistou is delicious on toast as an aperitif or as a sauce over a dish of pasta, potatoes or even pizza! You can also use it to make the famous pistou soup and why not, add it to homemade mayonnaise! We prepare this pistou with wild garlic from our crops, cider vinegar, Guérande salt and olive oil. All our products come from organic farming. A pesto with a good garlic taste! Presentation : Wild garlic is an undergrowth plant that heralds spring. It is said that bears come out of their hibernation period and rush to delight in these delicately scented fresh leaves. This is where it gets its name from. It is a very different variety of garlic from the bulb garlic we know. However, it does not lose its garlicky flavor. However, wild garlic is less spicy than common garlic. It is also more digestible than the latter but its aroma is just as intense. Pistou is a traditional recipe, originating from Provence which takes its name from the Italian Pesto. These 2 recipes, although very similar and inspired by each other, are completely different. While “Pesto Genovese” is prepared with basil, olive oil, garlic, cheese and pine nuts. Pistou contains only basil, garlic, olive oil and nothing more. We adapted the original recipe to make this wild garlic pistou. A recipe no less tasty than traditional pistou, which therefore contains wild garlic, cider vinegar, olive oil and salt. A light spread with a good garlic taste that will wonderfully flavor many of your dishes ! Florixir® quality We pick the wild garlic by hand, mix it with olive oil, salt and cider vinegar and that's it. We make our grocery products from quality ingredients, always organic and local.
