MANUFACTURE The power and meaning of the color black are more contradictory than almost any other colour. In psychology, black stands for threat, illness, fear and death - social aspects that are particularly relevant in relation to the current COVID pandemic. On the other hand, this dominant color is considered mysterious, seductive and elegant in a positive sense. So it is no wonder that a feeling of curiosity, but also fear, can arise before tasting the Dark Gin. Ultimately, the following applies: "Who's afraid of the black... GIN!!" After the dark gin has been distilled and diluted to drinking strength, liquorice chips are left to soak for a few days to enrich the aroma spectrum with delicate lacquer notes. The extraordinary coloring is created by adding just one botanical: activated carbon. Activated charcoal is a natural and tasteless product that is used in medicine, among other things, but has no influence on the taste profile of the gin. Note: If the gin is stored for a longer period of time, the activated carbon particles will sink to the bottom of the bottle. This has no effect on quality or taste.
