Messing vermeerderingsschijf x6 – Helios: geniet van een groeiende plant van blad tot wortel

The durable brass growth disk Helios allows you to stylishly propagate cuttings, germinate seeds, sprout pits and (re)grow scraps on glass jars and vases you already own. Enjoy your growing plant in its entirety: its fresh sprouting leaves as well as its developing root-system. Perfect to propagate cuttings of a.o. spider plants, Pothos and pilea; germinate seeds and pits like a.o. avocado, mango, chestnuts and acorns; regrow kitchen scraps like romaine lettuce, celery, leeks, onions and pineapple; and grow mini-plants like aloe, pilea, echeveria, philodendron and dwarf ferns Grow your own eclectic collection of baby-plants and swap cuttings with friends. The center of each Helios disk has a star-shaped opening with perforated lines that can be folded downward to fit a variety of cuttings, seeds, bulbs and pits. The opening can be bent fully open to carefully transport a plant, with roots and all, to a pot or your garden. The brass Helios disks fit vases and jars with diameters ranging from 5,5 to 8 cm (2.15 - 3.12 inch). Helios - How to work your growth disk 1. Customize the star-shaped opening to fit your cutting, bulb, pit or plant by folding along the dotted lines. 2. Find a jar with a top diameter of 5 to 8 cm and fill with water, lay the Helios disk centered on top of the glassware and push the inner brass circle downward to fit. 3. Carefully place your bulb, pit, plant or cutting in the Helios disk, making sure the roots are submerged. 4. Keep your plant in a light spot, top up the water when necessary, and refresh regularly to keep it clear. Optionally add fertilizer once-in-a-while for a happy nourished plant. The Helios growth disks are made from brass: a (usually recycled) alloy of copper and sink that has a good resistance to corrosion. Brass will show its history and can stain from water or fingerprints. We love it when the disks become naturally worn and develop a patina over time. Not a fan of the wear? Brass can easily be cleaned with copper polish (+ a little elbow grease). Helios is the ancient Greek god of the sun who rode his chariot through the sky and made sure the sun would come up again every day. He was worshipped for the creative power of the sun as the source for growth and life.
