TEA TASTING SET

This set is used by tea tasting professionals, the "tea tasters". It consists of a bowl, a serrated infuser cup with its lid. "Tea Taster", or "tea taster" designates both the person who tastes and the utensil used for tasting. In addition to learning about tea tasting, the interest for the amateur is also to easily compare 2 or 3 teas provided they have 2 or 3 tea tasting sets. How is a "tea taster" used to taste tea? - Place 1.5 to 2g of tea directly into the infuser cup - Pour the hot water (respecting the temperature and duration of infusion recommended for tea) - After infusion, turn the cup over the bowl holding the lid to let the tea flow into the bowl through the serrations. As the infuser cup is "upside down", the tea leaves will accumulate in the lid. - Once the tea has run out, separate the cup from the lid, leaving it upside down with the leaves in it and place it on the cup (see photo) - You then have the liqueur (i.e. the infused tea) in the bowl and the infusion (i.e. the leaves after infusion) in the lid. The interest is to be able to examine the liquor (color, aromas), taste it in small quantities, and examine the infused leaves, which provides information on the quality of the tea: appearance of the leaves, size (large leaves, small leaves, buds) , how did they unfold during the infusion...
