A very traditional green tea in China. For centuries, the leaves of this tea have been heated and rolled into small balls. Hence its name gunpowder. It is produced in the Wuyan region of Jiangxi province. The balled tea leaves unfurl and give rise to an intense yellow-orange liquor. This tea can be infused several times until the leaf is completely open and all the aromas have been released. This organic Gunpowder green tea is characterized by its slightly acidic, refreshing flavor with a hint of bitterness. It is also used as a base for mint tea consumed in the Middle East or North Africa. The crops are organized in small plots within a radius of 10 km around the farm. Within and between these small plots on the slopes of the hills are forests, bamboo groves, rocks, streams, rivers.
