For the record: the name chamomile comes from the Greek Khamaimélon which means "apple of the ground" because of the smell of apple that emerges from the ground when you walk on it. In ancient Egypt, Roman chamomile symbolized the sun and was dedicated to the god Ra. The Egyptians used it to embalm their dead. Thus Ramses II, the pharaoh, would have been embalmed with chamomile essential oil.
