We are two sisters: a graphic designer and an illustrator.
Very different, but with a common taste for art, creation and a great sense of family.
Pooling our skills seemed natural to us, and our company Maëlio was born in 2023.
The world of children is often pastel and sober.
We prefer to draw animals, vegetables or objects with big, squinting and very colorful eyes. Bringing the nature around us to life in our own way by offering fun, color, cuteness and pep to babies, children and families.
And as the daughters of a teacher, we inherited a desire to mix art with education!
We highlight little-known animals, incongruous vegetables and the nature that surrounds us, particularly the Alps. Always with a pair of big, squinting eyes, we illustrate this living world between realism and fun, joy and melancholy, all sometimes sprinkled with a little anecdote about our subjects.
This gives illustrations of cards, alphabet books, birth posters, coloring pages, custom-created birth announcements...
From Isère, we create in Grenoble, where our posters are also printed. It is important for us to place Maëlio in his environment, so we collaborate with local partners and printers. And we of course take advantage of our drawings to show all the beauty of our regions!
