Dear retailers,
We are a small family business from Portugal and also based in Cologne. We have been producing extra virgin olive oil in our family for generations.
Our father Antonio Manuel Castro produces his own olive oil in the Alto Douro region of northern Portugal. The region of Tras-Os-Montes, which means Behind the Mountains, is a wonderful olive oil region with the most delicious olive varieties in the country.
Every year we harvest our approx. 1st.200 olive trees in a gentle way and mostly by hand. The olives are processed without any additives and without the use of synthetic pesticides.
However, we are very small compared to other producers, which is why we attach great importance to nature and the olive fruits.
Our aim is to bring the valuable oil to Germany and not leave it to the large producers. We also spent a long time looking for a beautiful design specifically for the delicatessen, gourmet and catering sectors. We have our labels finished and embossed in Germany and it is important to us to contribute something to the German economy, especially in family-run factories.
With our roots in Portugal and our presence in Cologne, we bring you first-class olive oil directly from the olive groves in your neighborhood, directly to your great stores and into the gourmet kitchens of your brand-savvy customers.
We would like to make Portuguese olive oil better known in Germany, especially from northern Portugal, as it is characterized by its very own, first-class taste. Our storytelling and our appealing, high-quality design will generate sales in your stores.
