All of our products are prepared exclusively according to Nonna Rosina recipes. This originality goes so far that the grandmother's tried and tested suppliers are used. For example, the peppers for Il Piccante are sourced from a farmer with whom Amodeo's grandparents have been working closely for more than seven decades. The aubergines, zucchini and tomatoes for the passata are also obtained from this farmer. This ensures that the main ingredients of our products are carefully processed as soon as possible after the harvest.

Since we manufacture our products ourselves, we can ensure that all ingredients are of the highest Italian quality. For example, we only use our L’Olio d’Oliva for all products in oil, which is an extra virgin olive oil that is 100% of the “Dolce di Rossano” variety.

Another special feature is that some of the individual ingredients in our products can be obtained from us.

For Italians, eating with family or friends is a tradition. It is celebrated extensively and extends over several hours. In Calabria, olives, good bread, excellent olive oil as well as various vegetables and pasta marinated in olive oil with a spicy sauce should not be missing.

Despite the young company history of AMODEO - La Cucina della Nonna, the company can look back on over 80 years of experience in the production of the goods on offer. The grandparents Domenico and Rosina Amodeo have dedicated their lives to the cultivation, care and production of the individual products in Crucoli. They passed this dedication on to their grandson Domenico, who continues this tradition with equal dedication.

La Cucina della Nonna deliberately does not offer a wide range of products. Rather, the focus is on the production of a few goods that have been refined over decades in the Amodeo family and convey a feeling of home and well-being.

The products come exclusively from Calabria, a largely undeveloped region of southern Italy. Calabria is best known for its powerful taste explosions. This includes spiciness in combination with garlic, but also fine flavors, such as the typical taste of wild fennel and bay leaf. The olive as a fruit, but also the olive oil are of course also part of it.
