Meadow salsify

Meadow salsify has been known since Antiquity, particularly for its root. We also find a representation of it on the frescoes of Pompeii! It was subsequently very quickly adopted and cultivated in vegetable gardens. Very hardy, it resists temperatures down to -15°C unlike the cosmos which fears frost.
