Puigdellivol Nuts Group, is a family business created in 1980.
Our father and founder of the company, Valentín Puigdellivol, was an inventor of recognized prestige. He was born in 1930 in Sabadell, where he began his metallurgical career. At the age of 18, he moved to Las Garrigas (Catalonia). It was in these lands where he applied his knowledge of the agricultural machinery sector to the crops typical of the area: almond and olive trees. As a result of his ingenuity and innovative desire, he created some pioneering machines in the treatment and harvesting of almonds and olives.
Subsequently, following their concerns about quality and the products of the land, Valentín Puigdellivol and his wife Teresa Sendrós began experimentation in the preparation of dried fruits, giving rise to a novel system that replaces the toasting of dried fruits. This is low-temperature dehydration, the SLOW FOOD technique, so in vogue today, Valentín and Teresa applied it to their nuts as early as 1980. The result was a vacuum dehydration procedure at low temperatures that preserved all the natural properties of nuts, while making them more digestible and tasty.
