Our history :
The year was 2015 in Madrid and Alberto, who had not yet turned 30 and who had just become an uncle for the first time, received a call from a person very, very close to whom they had diagnosed a disease of those that are not cool at all.
At that moment his life changed and his head began to wonder: "Could it be because of what we eat?"
On a visit outside of Spain there were plenty of healthy alternatives for the little ones, especially focused on organic food. So she called Javier, her lifelong school friend, and they set out to investigate healthy alternatives for the little ones in Spain.
In that year 2015 -while there were already organic foods for adults- in the children's aisle of supermarkets it was an impossible mission to find something to match.
The idea was, in reality, no more than a necessary solution: our little ones were crying out for help. At that time Alberto and Javier lived outside of Spain but decided to leave everything to set up Smileat.
This is how Smileat was born, with three premises as clear as they are key: that food is crucial for our health; that chemicals, fertilizers, hormones and residues are not good at all; and that we can avoid all this with organic food and sustainable packaging.
