Built in 1862, the complex which brings together the Singtom and Steinthal plantations is the oldest in Darjeeling. Located just 20 minutes from the city, it is also the first "tea estate resort" in the region, offering a breathtaking panoramic view, facing Kanchenjunga. Singtom and Steinthal have been owned by the Chirimar family since 1999, one of the oldest tea planting families in India. The harvest of Singtom Blanc is manual and certified organic. Only the first leaf is harvested, in addition to the bud. What strikes you first is the well-preserved freshness of the dried leaves. Odorous, they suggest a quality infusion. The color of the liquor at the first infusion is pale orange, slightly cloudy. The texture is ample, silky. It spreads sweet floral notes (reminiscent of rose), particularly aromatic. Then come fruity notes (peach) which perfectly balance the taste. We will find the same predominantly floral balance in the second infusion. This first infusion is without astringency or bitterness. Several infusions are possible. Singtom Blanc can also be drunk cold (infused for 4 hours in cold water) for a thirst-quenching infusion.
