Composition: Clove Nails. The clove tree or clove (Syzygium aromaticum) is a tree of the Myrtaceae family native to Indonesia. The antiseptic and anesthetic properties of these flower buds have been recognized for a very long time and proposed in dental pain. In the kitchen, it is present in gingerbread, biscuits mixed with cinnamon, stew, marinades, sauerkraut and it is essential for most curries. In the Netherlands, the whole clove is used to flavor an old lean hard Friesian cheese called Nagelkaas (nail cheese) or Kanterkaas (PDO). In North Africa, cloves are used as an infusion with tea.
