Lalande-de-Pomerol - Domaine du Grand Ormeau 2019

This wine dominated by black fruits (blackberry) offers a fascinating aromatic palette with mineral, woody, spicy notes, black fruit jelly, truffle, cocoa, and licorice. It offers a voluptuous texture which continues with a very pretty structure with fine tannins. Close to the famous terroirs of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, the Domaine du Grand Ormeau, whose reputation is well established, is one of the best Lalande-de Pomerol. The vinification is monitored by consulting oenologist Gilles Pauquet, who is none other than one of the oenologists from the largest Saint-Emilion in the world: Cheval Blanc!
