SELECTED HARVEST WINE 2019 RED RIOJA

Our star wine is created with our best grapes and aged for 2 years in French oak barrels. We begin with a manual harvest in one of our oldest vineyards, Los Caños, located in Samaniego, the northern area of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin. Once the best bunches of grapes have been selected, they are placed in stainless steel tanks where the first fermentation will begin. Here we can control the temperature so that a controlled fermentation is carried out with a precise result. Once it has finished, we perform a manual emptying of the tank. After that, we put it in French oak barrels for 2 years and then bottle it for between 1 and 2 more years. Variety: 100% Tempranillo. Harvest: 2015. Alcohol content: 13.5% VOL. CATA'S NOTES Tasting note: high intensity aroma with a great contribution of wood, it stands out for its red fruits and brick colour. Visual phase: ruby red color, medium layer, with tile edges. Olfactory phase: very intense aroma, fresh, vibrant, with fine notes of fruit on a balsamic background. Gustatory phase: meaty entry, showing a somewhat astringent tannin. PAIRING: perfect companion with grilled meats and stew dishes.
