Named after their region of origin, they thrive in a particularly mild climate on fertile soils and develop their typical, intensely fruity flavor. Their thin skin makes them ideal for grilling and smoking – just as we use them for this mezze dip. For each jar, around 2kg of paprika is smoked over beechwood and then processed into a creamy paste with a little sea salt and the finest organic extra virgin olive oil. The result is an authentic dip with a Mediterranean character and a pleasant smoky aroma. The dip is just as delicious on its own on bread as it is as a side dish to warm dishes: whether with grilled steak, spicy shakshuka or fluffy couscous – the creamy paprika note brings color and flavor to the plate.
