
Wan chun Yellow Tea 万春 is also known as “Wanchun Mountain Tea”. It is a rare and precious variety of yellow tea originating from Dong'an County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, China. Its name comes from the Wanchun Mountains. For centuries, these mountains have cultivated this tea. The first mentions of this tea date back to the Tang dynasty, under the name of “Tea of the Wanchun Mountains”. During the Song Dynasty, it became an imperial tribute and was exported abroad. During the Ming and Qing eras, emperors considered Wanchun as "China's First Famous Tea." However, wars and natural disasters interrupted its production until its revival in the 1980s. Wanchun Yellow Tea comes in the form of thin, yellow-green needles with silvery buds. Once infused, it offers a clear golden liquor with a rich and delicate aroma.
