Delicate, fruity and floral Ethiopian coffee beans. Notes of bergamot, jasmine and mandarin in a syrupy body. This specialty coffee is produced in the country considered the birthplace of coffee, in the Yirgacheffe region. Coffee beans from a micro-lot in the highlands of southern Ethiopia, in the Yirgacheffe region, where it is grown in the heart of the rainforest. This coffee, produced using agroforestry, grows at an altitude of over 2,000 metres. The Producer In this Ethiopian region, farmers have very small plots of land, sometimes just a few hundred square meters, where they grow not only coffee, but also fruits and vegetables. These farms follow a traditional family model, without the use of machinery. Producers sell their harvest to the nearest producers' cooperative, the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. This cooperative brings together coffees from different farmers and takes care of the following stages of the process: drying, fermentation, sorting and pulping. Origine coffee comes from this human-sized cooperative, thus guaranteeing complete traceability of the coffee. Drying Method This natural coffee is dried and fermented for almost 12 days after harvest, offering a tasty, elegant and particularly floral cup. Variety Heirloom.
