Coffee Beans Ethiopia 1kg - Acidic and Floral - 100% Arabica

On the nose, an extremely fruity and floral coffee. In tasting, lemony, spicy and chocolatey notes. Coffee roasted artisanally in France by the MOF roaster 2016.     ABOUT Straight from the Limmu Kossa region near the village of Wolensu, this natural coffee is produced by Genet Seifu. She cultivates varieties 74110, 74140 and 74145 under forest cover on 100 hectares. Genet employs 14 full-time workers on his farm and up to 200 during peak harvest. What is “WOMEN COFFEE”? It’s a small logo to support producers by identifying their coffees with WOMEN COFFEE. For what ? Because women have a vital role for the sector, they have a strong involvement in farms and represent more than 70% of the workforce in the fields, harvesting, grain sorting, etc. However, only 10% of them are entrepreneurs and only 20% are landowners (including co-ownership with their spouses). Increasing the income of women producers has a direct and positive impact on the education of children and the comfort of the home.     LIMMU KOSSA The Limmu Kossa terroir is located in the Oromo region, approximately 80 km north of the town of Jimma, within the appellation of the same name. This natural coffee is collected in a forest made up of diverse and ancient species. The richness of the soils and the environment of this terroir gives its specificity to this coffee prepared by the Dabessa brothers. Local children, these 2 brothers have developed their coffee business for around ten years and now sell their production internationally. The name “Limmu” is traditionally associated with washed coffee from the Jimma region because that was how the first washing station in this area was named. By distinction, natural coffees were called “Jimma”. Here, the Jimma terminology is added to that of the “Limmu Kossa” terroir to distinguish this natural forest coffee, certified organic. In this region, coffee growing, through the value it brings to forest areas, plays a role in their maintenance. The association of agricultural production and environmental preservation, specific to these areas, further motivated the selection of this coffee with fruity notes.
