Godet Frère Cognac - La Sauzaie "Moscatel" Single Malt Whiskey

100% French whisky: spring barley grown in France, malting in Charente Maritime, distillation and aging in La Rochelle. The distillation takes place in a Cognac pot still, and for good reason Godet is historically a producer of Cognac. The water used for diluting comes from high purity runoff. It is aged in Sessile Cognac oak barrels that can hold up to 400 liters, followed by a double maturation of 24 months in European Oak Moscatel White wine barrels, at the Château de la Sauzaie in La Rochelle. Tasting notes Straw color with a smoky style, the nose is peaty and deep with underlying spices that bring up notes of gingerbread. In the mouth the concentration is strong and long.
