2019 Sarabande Espinasse Syrah Mourvèdre AOP Faugères

Espinasses 2019 was entirely fermented in our vineyards in a 1000L open fermenter. It was open to the elements so that the natural yeasts in the vine would ferment the wine. This wine is a dark, dark purple beast. The nose is of ripe cassis and plums with hints of liquorice and anise. A charming Chary character has also complexed to add a hint of chocolate to the aroma and palate. The wine's fresh fruit character lengthens the palate. Only one barrel was made from this super concentrate Syra. We are very happy with this wine and think it really expresses the uniqueness name of Faugères.
