Tenbu Fuka - Organic Japan Green Tea (50g)

Tenbu Fuka, 50g Tenbu = "dance in heaven", is picked in mid-April. In the deepest dark green cup, the aftertaste is truly "infinite". A surprise even for connoisseurs of top-quality green teas and a rarity in Japan. Kabusecha is green tea for the production of which the tea plants are shaded, which means that they develop a high content of chlorophyll and other active substances and at the same time few bitter substances. Their characteristic "shadow aroma" is called "ooika". Like many KEIKO teas, this tea is an intensely steamed tea (Fukamushi-cha, 100 - 120 seconds steaming time). Due to the gentle steaming, the leaf pores open and the extracts from the tea leaf get into the water more easily and quickly. This can be recognized by the deep green tea color in the cup and the yield of the tea - with top quality, up to 5 infusions are possible! In addition, intensely steamed early pickings are particularly suitable for cold infusions (mizudashi). Even with cold water, you can get an intense and refreshing tea after just a few minutes. Since the bitter substances do not dissolve so strongly in cold water, the sweet aromas of Kabusecha come into their own. Early pickings such as Tenbu Fuka also have a particularly high thean content, which is noticeable through the sweet taste. In order to preserve the valuable aromas and ingredients of the tea as best as possible, we ask you to close the bag tightly and store it in the refrigerator or freezer in a cool and dark place. "Fuka" means "deep" and indicates that this Kabusecha is particularly intensely steamed. It has an intense, fruity, sweet fragrance and, thanks to its wealth of extracts, an overwhelmingly full-bodied aroma with a long, soft finish.
