YELLOW MUSTARD seeds - eco

With a spicy, slightly peppery flavor, mustard seeds enhance marinades, curries, stews and sauces. They flavor vinaigrettes, vegetables and meats. Brown mustard is a biennial herbaceous plant of the Brassicaceae family, cultivated mainly for its seeds used in the preparation of condiments but also for its leaves and stems in different Asian cuisines. The seeds are used in the industrial manufacture of mustard-type condiments. They have a spicy, slightly peppery flavor and are used mixed with black mustard to make Dijon mustard.

 Widely used in France thanks to Dijon mustard, black mustard is also a must-have in Indian cuisine and particularly in all vegetarian dishes. It is also found in traditional West Indian cuisine.

 Black mustard seeds are a widely used ingredient in spice blends. We find them in curries and also garam massala, the 5 spices of Bengal. Combined with other spices you can make very good marinades for meats and even fish! Mustard seeds can decorate your jars of pickles, pikkles or rollmops to give them a different flavor.
