
APPELLATION AOC Condrieu. LOCATION Located on the right bank of the Rhône, this appellation is the most northerly in the Rhône Valley producing white wines and also one of the most prestigious. VINEYARD AND TERROIR Viognier flourishes on the narrow terraces of the appellation facing south-east, protected by low walls built with local stone. The terroir is mainly made up of granite. GRAPE VARIETY 100% Viognier PRODUCTION The grapes are pressed and placed in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Fermentation takes place at low temperature to preserve as much fruit as possible. The wine then spends 10 months in second-hand barrels on its fine lees. TASTING A refined and complex nose with accents of white flowers (acacia) and white-fleshed fruits enhanced with a touch of honey. The palate is ample and harmonious, with minerality, finishing with notes of candied citrus fruits. SERVICE AND PAIRINGS Between 13-14°C, when young (2 to 4 years). On creamed poultry, lobster or scallops.
