Agnes von Krusenstjerna

Agnes von Krusenstjerna was one of the most discussed authors of her time. She had her big breakthrough in 1922 with the trilogy of novels about young Tony's upbringing in the Swedish upper class. Her second novel series Fröknarna von Pahlen created great controversy in Sweden. For her time, Krusenstjerna wrote outspokenly about themes such as sex and homosexuality, and her works in some cases created violent debate. Industrial designer Jan Landqvist is responsible for the idea and design of the series »Swedish literature support«, Landqvist has many years of professional experience from Gustavsberg's factories and has designed everything from porcelain for bathrooms to giftware and plastic products. The bookends are made in Gnosjö, Sweden and are made of cut and bent sheet steel that has been treated with a black, durable powder coating. The dimensions are 15×15 centimeters for the portraits and 10×15 centimeters for the base plate. Designer: Landqvist, Jan
