Astrid Lindgren

Astrid Lindgren (1907-2002) is undoubtedly our most beloved author. She grew up in Vimmerby in Småland. In 1944, Lindgren made her debut with her youth novel Britt-Marie lättar sitt hära, and after that she made a big splash with the Pippi Longstocking books. Today there is a whole universe for Lindgren's fairy tale world, consisting of famous film adaptations, illustrations, songs and two amusement parks: Astrid Lindgren's world and Junibacken. Industrial designer Jan Landqvist is responsible for the idea and design of Novellix bookends. The bookends are made in Gnosjö in Småland and are made of cut and bent sheet steel that has been treated with a black, durable powder coating.
