From nature to scarves! Finnish handmade accessories for You who appreciate natural materials, quality and beauty. Nukan is a company founded in 2021 by “my” textile designer Outi Ansamaa. I have always appreciated craftsmanship and handmade work. It is an integral part of Finnishness and also myself. Making a craft is a process that starts with an idea and ends with a finished product. It can be much more than just a ready-made garment - it makes things that are important to you become tangible and visible. Making by hand is a creative activity where you are allowed to implement your own ideas. For me, it’s also a dream come true and new plans. What things are important to me? For my part, I want to be there to protect nature and its diversity. I am not in favor of fast fashion, but I want the garment to be usable even years from now. I greatly appreciate high quality natural materials as they are long lasting and timeless. They are an ecological choice. It is important to me that both the making of the craft and the finished product are on an ethically sustainable basis. I appreciate design based on timelessness. I like modest simplicity and timeless beauty.
