KAMUT® khorasan wheat (wheat in Egyptian language), name given to the American firm which produces this type of durum wheat rediscovered only a few years ago by a young G.I. American (while traveling in Egypt), is also known as “wheat of the pharaohs”. Originally from the Nile Valley, this grain with its delicious nutty flavor contains 20 to 40% more protein than traditional wheat. Khorasan wheat flour is used to make delicious breads, biscuits and pastas.
