Natural cockles from the Galician Rías - 25/35 pieces (OL-85)

Cockles from the Galician estuaries, packed by hand in natural broth. Cockles from the Galician Rías from Real Conservera Española are gourmet preserves made with a natural broth that is made up of the cockles themselves, onion, bay leaf, lemon, salt and water. These gourmet preserves come from the Noia estuary, located to the south of La Coruña, under the protected name of Cofradía de Noia. These cockles follow very careful and rigorous cleaning processes. First, the cockles are purified in seawater from the salty pools of the market for 16 hours. Afterwards, they arrive at our facilities, where they are chipped and subjected to several washes to remove the remains of sand. And finally, they are packed in a brine based on lemon, bay leaf, water and salt. All canned cockles are packed manually, in order to control that they are placed properly. Once packaged, the durability of canned cockles is 4 years. To ensure that they do not deteriorate prematurely, we must store them in a dry place and at room temperature.
