Upcycling animal figure elephant M made from flip-flops

A bit of wilderness ... ... bring these colorful elephant figures into your living room. They are made entirely from recycled flip-flops. The Kenyan organization OceanSole collects the sandals washed up on the coasts of Africa and has local artists make colorful figures from them. Thanks to the handmade figures, 400,000 flip-flops of rubber waste are avoided every year. At the same time, the people employed at OceanSole from Nairobi and various Kenyan slums have a fair professional perspective. The elephant figures are made of colored, prepared sandal rubber. Even the trunk, tail, ears and eyes were made from the material! Our elephant was made from 18 flip flops. Each product is handmade and therefore unique. The look and texture of the material can therefore vary somewhat.
