Well roared... ...Lion! This lion figure, designed with great attention to detail, actually consists of recycled flip-flops. The organization OceanSole collects sandals washed up on the coasts of Africa and has colorful figures made from them by local artists. A beautiful, handmade eye-catcher and a great thing about it: 400,000 flip-flops are recycled every year! At the same time, upcycling opens up fair career prospects for people from Nairobi and various Kenyan slums who work at OceanSole. The lion was made from recycled sandal rubber from 10 flip flops. Each product is handmade and therefore unique. The appearance and nature of the material can therefore vary slightly.
