
Benaza Godello is a balanced, easy-drinking white wine. It expresses the personality and inherent qualities of the Godello grape and Monterrei terroir. The Monterrei appellation of origin is located above Portugal in the province of Ourense. The appellation of origin, Monterrei, is relatively new, although it has a long history in viticulture. It is currently experiencing a renaissance in winemaking. The climate is relatively dry and warm for Galicia and more continental than the Atlantic. The soils are a mixture of clay and alluvial. Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel vats; Aged on the lees for 6 months. Character: Fresh, mineral, floral, light to medium body, acidity, texture, round, with a pleasant mineral finish. Gastronomy: Fresh seafood, soft cheeses, Asian foods.
