The typical long Sienese pasta with a thick and irregular shape has its origins in the Etruscan era. Its name derives from the gesture made when the shape of the pasta is modeled, which in the Tuscan dialect is the verb “to stick”. Manganelli offers pici in their most traditional version, strictly artisanal and with high quality ingredients. It is advisable to season them with a full-bodied sauce such as Tuscan meat sauces, but also other delicious recipes such as cacio e pepe. Also available in the gluten free version.
