Arco da Vella - A Adega de Eladio is a project that was born in order to recover a family winery respecting the existing built volumes, using stone and wood as classic materials in popular Galician architecture, to locate within it a winery equipped technologically with the state-of-the-art machinery and tools.
This elaboration is made from grapes collected in their own vineyards inherited from parents to children since time immemorial. The viticulture that is implanted in the aforementioned vineyards aims to get closer to traditional viticulture, eliminating herbicides and pesticides in a process whose ultimate goal is the ecological balance in the natural environment and to be able to offer the current consumer a healthy and invigorating wine and at the same time obtain High quality wines with organoleptic characteristics, highlighted in aromas, color and palates forgotten and inherent to traditional viticulture.
ENVIRONMENT
The Ribeiro Designation of Origin is located in Galicia, on the northwestern edge of the province of Ourense and at the confluence of the valleys formed by the Miño, Avia and Arnoia rivers. A region 45 km. from the Atlantic Ocean, in a very particular area with excellent aptitude for growing vines. With an area of approximately 2,500 hectares, the production area for wines protected by the Ribeiro denomination of origin encompasses the municipalities of Ribadavia, Arnoia, Castrelo de Miño, Carballeda de Avia, Leiro, Cenlle, Beade, Punxín and Cortegada; the parishes of Banga, Cabanelas and O Barón, in the municipality of O Carballiño; the parishes of Pazos de Arenteiro, Albarellos, Laxas, Cameixa and Moldes in the municipality of Boborás; the places of Santa Cruz de Arrabaldo and Untes in the municipality of Ourense, and from the municipality of Toén the places of Puga, A Eirexa de Puga, O Olivar, the town of Feá and Celeirón and the parish of Alongos; and the place of A Touza of the municipality of San Amaro.
