The Maya Mountain cooperative is a pioneer in the social enterprise model of high-quality cocoa. It is made up of 350 families, including Q'eqchi' and Mopan Mayans, who have been growing cocoa for generations. Awarded the 2019 Cocoa of Excellence, these beans rank in the world top 20.
