Bergamot Cream 18% 70cl, Briottet Bergamot Liqueur

Bergamot cream or bergamot liqueur is an artisanal citrus liqueur. HAShalfway between bitter orange and lime. What is Bergamot?  Fruit of the bergamot tree, a tree in the Rutaceae family, bergamot is a citrus fruit with a smooth, thick skin.

Bergamot is mainly grown in southern Italy, in Calabria.

Its flesh is too acidic and too bitter to be eaten raw.

In reality, what makes this citrus fruit so rich is its unique scent.

This is the reason why almost all of the fruits harvested, from November to February, are used for the production of essential oil.  How do you use bergamot?  Very present in perfumery and cosmetics, we also find bergamot in cooking.

It is particularly popular with pastry chefs.

Frequently used in Asian cuisine, it also goes wonderfully with fish or seafood.

It is also used in the composition of Earl Gray tea.

Finally, bergamot has naturally conquered the world of spirits, again thanks to its uniqueness. How is bergamot liqueur consumed?  Fans can consume it alone, very fresh, to exude all the aromas.

While the most gourmands make it a great ally for the preparation of their cakes.

While adventurous spirits will not hesitate to revisit their favorite cocktail recipes.  Spritz addict?
