Dijon Crème de Cassis 20% is the star product at Briottet. 

We offer more than sixty liqueurs but it remains our best seller. How to make crème de cassis? The blackcurrant berries are macerated in a mixture of superfine French neutral alcohol and water for approximately 10 weeks. 

In fact, the objective of maceration is to extract all the aromatic power of this super fruit that is the blackcurrant. 

The alcoholic juice thus obtained is called “infusion”. 

Finally, we add French white sugar to obtain the tasty Crème de Cassis de Dijon. How to drink Crème de Cassis? The most classic way to drink crème de cassis is in combination with white wine. 

In Burgundy, we choose Aligoté. 

The mixture is called blanc-cassis. 

For the proportions, count 1/5 crème de cassis to 4/5 dry white wine. Crème de cassis goes very well with strong alcohol. 

In Burgundy, crème de cassis is mixed with Marc de Bourgogne. 

The mixture is called Mêlé-Cassis. 

The recipe is simple: 4/5 crème de cassis and 1/5 Marc de Bourgogne. Crème de cassis can also be drunk on its own.
