Emblematic of Sardinia, Carasau bread is thin, crispy slices of toasted bread, almost transparent. It is nicknamed “music paper” because of the noise it makes when bitten into it. Very ancient, the shepherds took this bread, prepared by their wives, to spend long months in the mountains, far from home. For an aperitif, with cheese or charcuterie.
