Pane carasau is a typical Sardinian bread widespread throughout Sardinia, in the shape of a very thin and crunchy disc, suitable for being preserved for a long time. The Sardinian term derives from the Sardinian verb carasare, which means to toast. During the carasadura the bread is put back in the oven for final cooking; this cooking makes it crunchy. In this variant, the slice of carasau bread is shaped like a wedge, a quarter of a disc. Texts in Italian, English, German, French, Spanish.
