VIOLET MUSTARD FROM BRIVE

Authentic Violet Mustard is a traditional Brive specialty brought up to date by DENOIX. It is made with grape must and fine mustard seeds. It is distinguished by its sweet and spicy flavor. In the 14th century, Pope Clement VI, born in Corrèze, remembering that the famous purple mustard was made in this region, sent for a mustard maker to come to Avignon. Sir Jaubertie, originally from Turenne, was chosen. He was so successful in his duties that he was named "Great Mustard Maker of the Pope".
