The absolute freshest and tastiest turmeric we have ever tasted. Fruity and with a slight tropical sweetness which gives the spice a fantastic aroma and taste. Our turmeric is grown in small mountain valleys around the city of Kandy by two small farmers. Mahesh Ranatunga in Wattappola and by Karunarathna Yapa in Wepathana. Cultivation is based exclusively on old-fashioned methods with natural fertilizers. The turmeric is hand-harvested annually around December, after which the roots are washed and cleaned, and then dried in wood-fired ovens to finally be pounded and packed for us. 50 g
