The canestrino, a classic of Italian pastry, is a light shortcrust biscuit with a soft apricot heart, a small treasure chest of fragrant sweetness.   A flavor from times gone by, delicate and genuine, typical of the Italian tradition.

 The pastry, made with Italian butter and eggs from free-range hens, is soft and crumbly, scented with Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla aroma and without the addition of hydrogenated fats and artificial preservatives. 

The heart of apricot puree is obtained from fresh fruit and cane sugar.

 The ideal pairing is with a classic tea, but also with an Italian coffee; excellent with sweet wine, such as Passito, for a delicate end to a meal.
