Bring the sunny lightness of Italy to your table with our basil pesto. It tastes like a pesto should, because it follows the most important principle of Italian cuisine: only the best of everything! A pesto is only as good as its ingredients. That's why we only put the best in the glass. Of course, this starts with the basil: In our own natural cultivation, it is grown at a sunny altitude - without pesticides, without artificial fertilizers, in the middle of nature. This gives the basil a quality that cannot be surpassed and a unique aroma. Preserving this fine aroma in such a way that the finished pesto verde enchants all the senses is the top priority during production. That is why the basil is processed fresh immediately after harvesting. And only the basil leaves and not - as with many industrially produced pestos - the thick basil stalks. The basil is carefully washed, finely chopped and immediately mixed with salt and oil. So it is only preserved by controlled ecological sunflower and olive oil as well as natural crystal salt. This preserves the taste, scent and flavor of the herbs as best as possible. The recipe for our vegan basil pesto is rounded off with high-quality, finely chopped almonds, which are used instead of parmesan, pecorino and pine nuts (as is the case with Pesto Genovese).
