Maria Lau approaches jewellery design with a curiousity for materials, by blending traditional techniques with modern textures and unexpected contrasts to create jewellery that is tactile, intricate and playful.
The collections have drawn inspiration from far and wide, ranging from the wonder of nature, earth and beyond; to world cultures and ancient costume.
Born in West Yorkshire, with Chinese Cantonese parentage, Maria graduated with an MA in Mixed Media Textiles at The Royal College of Art, London. Her collaborations include Michiko Koshino and DKNY London. All jewellery is designed and handcrafted in the UK.
