
In Burgundy, during one of our many culinary escapades to meet local producers, we met Pierre and Véronique, a couple of farmers dedicated to growing blackcurrants who invited us to explore their fields. As we walked among the blackcurrants, Pierre shared his know-how and explained to us how each berry was carefully harvested by hand. Back at the farm, Véronique had prepared for us a tasting of blackcurrant products: jams, liqueurs, syrups, tarts…. Each bite or sip was an explosion of flavors, blending the sweetness of blackcurrants with a slight acidity. After presenting them with the idea of creating a blackcurrant-based biscuit ball, we began experimenting in the kitchen to create a unique ball paying tribute to their passion. Embark for Burgundy!
