Darboussier Old Rum Carafe 10 years 42° 70cl

The Darboussier sugar factory was created between 1867 and 1869 in the commune of Pointe-à-Pitre. Its name comes from its location where the home of a French merchant, Jean Darboussier, was located. After its closure in the 1980s, the brand was resurrected by Liquoristerie Madras for the breeding of traditional old rums. Tasting notes: Nose: a frank and intense bouquet with gourmet tones of vanilla and salted butter caramel to which are added woody and smoky notes. Palate: its rich and opulent texture reveals notes of vanilla and bitter almonds mingling with flavors of caramelized sugar and star anise. The finish is all subtlety on the white date. An explosion of surprising and delicate flavors.
