Burgen Coffee Liqueur Salted Caramel Making coffee is not an easy craft, but creating a coffee liqueur is a fine art. Our Café Liqueur therefore deserves the greatest respect, not only because of its ingenious mixture of 70 percent Arabica beans and 30 percent Robusta. At the Reinholz coffee roastery, this is used to create a fine espresso, which at Burgen we put in a bath of the purest neutral alcohol. The liquid extracts the wonderful taste from the beans and forms the basis for our café liqueur, which we distil and refine at the highest level. Nose: The Café Liqueur smells of coffee, that goes without saying. But wait, what kind of fine, light note is that that is still perceptible? The aroma is nutty in a very modern, contemporary way. "Salted caramel" is the magic elixir that describes this impression and makes our spirit irresistible (also for tea drinkers). Palate: It starts with a spicy espresso taste, which is soon joined by a pleasant, comforting sweetness. Look forward to a taste experience that goes well with coffee and fine pastries, but can also be the culmination of a festive meal.
